On the road – Sept 2016
September was a whirlwind tour of Europe, mostly England and Spain. The Tate Modern and Serpentine Galleries in London were highlights, and the Serpentine Pavilion, designed by Bjarke Ingels, was simply stunning. In Madrid, I was captivated by a huge sculpture at the Reina Sofia, it perfectly commanded the space. I also saw a fascinating exhibition at the Reina Sofia of Spanish art from 1935-1968, reflecting the country's turbulent history. And throughout Spain, I was continually struck by the amazing juxtaposition of old and new architecture – a truly inspiring contrast.
