The laser-cut sculpture is taking shape, but I'm still playing with the thickness of the steel and the width of the lines. It's all about finding that sweet spot—enough strength to hold its form, but still delicate and elegant. I don't want it to be clunky, but I certainly don't want it flimsy either! It's a bit of a dance, really. While I work that out, I've been back in the studio, painting. The ideas from the sculpture are now feeding into these three small pieces I'm making for the Gallery H show in July/August. It’s exciting to see it all come together.
